When we listen intently to the voice of the Church, we hear a call from saint Paul, who constantly repeats that he “can do all things”. We also want the same, but often we find ourselves in totally different place, because the Apostle of nations was “in Him who strengthens” and we often vaunt about the company of a free will. Free will, which was described by saint Maximilian not only as a free, but also a weak. This is why we lack courage, which is nothing extraordinary but simple consequence of a true love. This saint fanatic looked for a profit in every difficulty because his heart knew crucified Christ and freely looked into eyes of Christ’s enemies. How is it possible to become so strong? Saint Maximilian gives us a clear answer: “our might comes from accepting its stupidity, weakness, poverty and a boundless trust in goodness and power of Immaculate. Nature can longingly gaze at, after all, more peaceful and comfortable life in a stable condition, but it is what a sacrifice is all about – to achieve more than a bodily nature desires”. The word sacrifice itself nowadays becomes incomprehensible, as it requires to contribute something and getting nothing in return… Seemingly, because it widens our heart and gives a space to this holy freedom, which we truly admire in Saints. We admire Veronica, who forced her way through the crowd to wipe the face of the Convict, but we do not have time to practice mercy at home or a workplace. We want to stand under the Cross with Magdalene … but not for long as we have too much on our plates. We wish to be discovered immediately by Christ’ look but we are afraid of the Way of a Cross, which is the only bridge over a rapid river of destructive pleasures. We ask question here – why did Saints are not afraid? Where their power came from? Christ gave us the answer in just three words: “Behold, your Mother”. This is why those who “take Her to themselves” become changed by Her and the world often cannot recognize them, calling them freaks. Just as the faithful Noah who builds his arc with prayers and gathers communions both sacramental and spiritual, good confessions and strong provisions of improvement inside it. Thanks to them he starts to practice mercy and becomes more similar to his Creator. We shall not be surprised by saints, but rather nod with approval over the words of saint Maximilian that „for the one who works for Immaculate it is inevitable to suffer a lot. She also did so. As a matter of fact, love feeds on crosses. We all are very poor but happy – aren’t we? As tools in the dearest hands of Mummy”. Some people found this tenderness rather offensive, but we should not forget that it is a sign of love, which, in fact, when is not strengthen with a cross, becomes just mawkishness. After all, love never ceases and “this is why it is impossible for love to get stopped by abyss.” Christ’ Resurrection for us is the eternally green tree, which yields fruits of faith and conversion. Before the world got to know Her name, Immaculate first fed herself with the juice from it. And as She was the Mother of the only Son, later on through the wood of the cross She became Mother of the humankind. But nothing by force, Christ added very often “if you want”… Saint Maximilian was bewitched by the humility of those two loving hearts and regretted how he lacked this virtue. He thoroughly got to know himself which gave him a clarity of thoughts and later on in letter to his superior he wrote “Sometimes I wonder about the power of Immaculate. God opposes to those who are haughty and gives His grace to humble ones, but even the first ones can be used as tools by Immaculate. I think that during the Final Judgment we are going to meticulously show our misery to everybody in order to let Immaculate, our dearest Mummy, show what She is really capable of and what is God like if He created such Goodness”…<\/p>\n
