On the 9th<\/sup> of December in Manila was Annual Pilgrimage to honour of Our lady of Guadalupe.<\/p>\n

\"\"We can define a pilgrimage as a specific journey made to some place for the purpose of venerating it, or in order to ask there for supernatural aid, or to discharge some religious obligation like fulfilling a vow or giving specific alms. This year, we will not only be visiting beautiful or old churches, we will also note that most of them possess a special statue of Our Lady.<\/p>\n

Solemn Holy Mass in Luneta Park was started the pilgrimage to honour of Our Lady of Guadalupe.<\/p>\n

\"\"Afterwards pilgrims visited a few churches in Manila. St. Vincent de Paul Church at Adamson University has a retablo of the apparitions of Our Lady of Miraculous medal. The National Shrine of St. Michael and the Archangels is something new this year, because Our Lady is also the Queen of Angels.<\/p>\n

However, the Abbey of Monserrat is particularly dear to the Militia Immaculatae, because St. Maximilian Kolbe celebrated Mass there. In this church Father Stehlin preached conference about Our Lady of Guadalupe and the Militia Immaculatae.<\/p>\n

As usual, pilgrims visited St. Anthony\u2019s Parish Church and Santo Ni\u00f1o de Violago Chapel.<\/p>\n

From there, we pilgrims went to the National Shrine of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and then, walk across Aurora Boulevard for the Carmel of St. Therese in Gilmore.<\/p>\n

The word \u201cpilgrim,\u201d is derived from the Latin \u201cperegrinum\u201d, which conveys the idea of wandering over a distance. However, it is not just an aimless wandering. It is a journey with a purpose \u2013 to honor God and His saints. For us, we honor Our Lord particularly, through His holy Mother, the Blessed Virgin Mary.<\/p>\n
