Son texte fut retrouv\u00e9 sur un papyrus \u00e9gyptien \u00e9crit en grec et dat\u00e9 du III-IVe si\u00e8cle.<\/p>\n<p>Le manuscrit le plus ancien fut d\u00e9couvert en 1917 et en \u00c9gypte par James Rendel Harris. Il s&#8217;agit d&#8217;un fragment de papyrus sur lequel on \u00e9crivait le texte de <em>Sub tuum<\/em> en grec.<br \/>\nEn outre, le manuscrit semble ant\u00e9rieur au concile d&#8217;\u00c9ph\u00e8se (431) qui donna officiellement comme dogme de Foi le titre de &#8220;M\u00e8re de Dieu&#8221; \u00e0 la Tr\u00e8s Sainte Vierge Marie.<br \/>\nHenri de Villiers de la Schola Sainte C\u00e9cile pr\u00e9sente ce texte comme une invocation r\u00e9dig\u00e9e lors de la pers\u00e9cution de D\u00e8ce (250) ou de la pers\u00e9cution de Val\u00e9rien (257).
