Amen.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>La composition<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>La tradition rapporte qu\u2019en 596, alors qu\u2019une peste inguinale ravageait la ville de Rome, le Pape saint Gr\u00e9goire le Grand exhorta tout le peuple \u00e0 la p\u00e9nitence, et annon\u00e7a pour la f\u00eate de P\u00e2ques une procession qui irait de l\u2019<i class=\"spip\">Ara c\u00e6li<\/i> \u00e0 Saint-Pierre. Lui-m\u00eame vint la pr\u00e9sider, tenant en main l\u2019image de la Sainte Vierge qu\u2019on dit peinte par saint Luc. Mais, tout \u00e0 coup, l\u2019on entend dans les airs des voix c\u00e9lestes qui chantent\u00a0: <i class=\"spip\">Regina c\u00e6li l\u00e6tare<\/i>, etc. Le Pontife, ravi d\u2019\u00e9tonnement, r\u00e9pond avec le peuple\u00a0: <i class=\"spip\">Ora pro nobis Deum, all\u00e9luia<\/i>. Aussit\u00f4t on aper\u00e7oit un Ange qui remet son \u00e9p\u00e9e dans le fourreau, et la peste cesse le jour m\u00eame. Telle est, assure-t-on, l\u2019origine de cette Antienne, empreinte de foi, d\u2019all\u00e9gresse et d\u2019un amour tout filial pour Marie. (Dom Gu\u00e9ranger, dans l&#8217;Ann\u00e9e Liturgique).<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Les m\u00e9lodies :<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Il existe le ton simple et le ton solennel (\u00e9coutez les deux m\u00e9lodies ci-dessous).
